Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan University, Bhubaneswar is happy to announce that 29th GISFI and IEEE-5G Smart City summit will be held during August 17-18, 2017 at Bhubaneswar. SOA University is a premier deemed to be University having ‘A’ grade NAAC accreditation for two consecutive cycles. The University is ranked within top 20 as per NIRF – 2016 and NIRF – 2017 ranking of MHRD. Overall in the country, the University ranks 33 in NIRF – 2017 ranking. It is the youngest university in the top 20 bracket.
Formation of Global ICT Standardization Forum for India (GISFI) was publicly announced in Kolkata in December 2008. One of the primary objectives of the GISFI is to harmonize the standardization efforts within the Indian market and work in close cooperation with all standardization bodies. This would result in improved competitiveness within companies and create conducive investor-friendly environment. GISFI will provide a platform for discussion where issues related to standardization will be deliberated, information exchanged and knowledge shared among companies. GISFI on reaching consensus among other bodies will appropriately frame the draft standards under term “GISFI-Standard” and then forward to appropriate body for acceptance.
IEEE 5G Summit
Recently, IEEE Communication Society has developed a strategic framework based on the principles that embrace Industry’s interests and priorities while integrating IEEE and ComSoc’s objectives. In order to engage industry members with high value and innovative technologies, IEEE Communication Society plans to hold a series of high impact summits in emerging technology areas. This two-day long summit will provide a platform for the industry leaders, innovators, and researchers from the industry and academic community to collaborate and exchange ideas in this emerging technology that may help in driving the standards and rapid deployment. The topics to be covered in this summit include network connectivity in 5G, millimeter-wave communication, massive MIMO and smart antenna, cognitive radio networks and software defined network, secure wireless communication, IoT and sensor network, big data and cloud computing.
